Today Farmer Phil brought us a surprise!
A batch of 10 chicken eggs, incubated and ready to hatch. They have alredy spent 20 of their 21 day incubation on the farm and are ready to hatch in the next few days. The incubator has to be kept warm and humid, topped up daily with water so that the egg shells are moist enough to allow the chicks to hatch.
You can watch the embryo development inside the egg in this short film by Poultry CRC & AXS studio.
